Last Monday, we went to the Chinese school in our town to register HQ for his first year of primary school, for the coming year 2012.
We have been telling him that when he reaches 7 years old, he will be going to a big school in the town area. This is so that he knows he will be leaving his current school someday. He's always very excited about this.
So the night before, hubby and I were preparing the required documents to bring along. When HQ got to know that we are registering him to the big school next morning, he excitedly told his meimei about it.
Then he started to realise something:
HQ: When I go to the big school, meimei also coming to the big school with me?
Mama: No… Meimei will only be 5 then, she will be in Mxxx Cxxxx (his current nursery)
HQ: Ha??? Then I cannot look after her in school! Who will look after her?
Before we could answer him, in a very serious tone, he told his meimei:
HQ: Meimei, when you is (are) in Mxxx Cxxxx school, and you need to go toilet, you have to ask teacher first. Do you know how to ask teacher?
QQ: I want to go xiao pien! (Mandarin: pee)
HQ: No… you have to ask teacher nicely "Teacher, may I go to toilet?"
HQ: If your teacher is a Mandarin teacher, then you have to ask "Lao shi, wo ke yi qi chi suo ma?"
HQ: Understand? Remember or not? You try and see.
Hubby and I were giggling when we heard this. HQ knows he's going to a big school, but he is more kanjiong for his meimei :-D.
