HQ's first bento

HQ eats his breakfast at his Popo’s house every morning before leaving for school. At 10.30 am, the kids will be served either fried vermicelli, chicken porridge, sandwiches, fried rice or sandwiches (again) at the kindy. HQ was enthusiastic for the first few weeks, eating whatever he was given. Nowadays, he’s not keen on the kindy food and has not been eating. When he comes home for lunch at 1.00pm, he will be so famished he gobbles up a heaped bowl of whatever Popo serves him, sometimes more. *shake head* Not good for his system; I prefer that he eats smaller and more frequent meals.

So, I put together this little snack for him to bring to kindy this morning. HQ’s first “bekal” :-).

A mini chicken floss bun from Sun Moulin bakery, Korean strawberries and a bottle of Vitagen (I prefer Yakult but my local supermarket ran out). Although the portion is small, I reckon it’s enough as a snack for a 4-year-old kid.

So, here's a very simple bento :-). After all, I only put together readily-available foodstuff that I bought. Maybe I’ll prepare something more wholesome next time :-).

Mommy Ling: Haha... you start making again lar... next time I can "tiru" your bento... hahaha

Mommy to Chumsy: Actually the food offered in his kindy is quite okay, but no choice lor... he's soooo fussy!

juli: we take out from the fridge at 8.30 am, he will drink at 10.30 am during his break. His kindy is air-conditioned, so should be alright...

Annie Q: If my little boy likes the bento, then yes :-D. If not, I really don't know how to make him eat liao...

CH Voon: HQ drinks a cup of milk and eats a small bowl of porridge at 8.00 am before he leaves for school. This bento is meant for his snack at 10.30 am. He'll eat his lunch at 1.00 pm. Should be just nice :-).

Looks healthy and sufficient for a mid-morning snack :-) Same here with Chloe. Although she does eat in her kindy, somehow she still appears to be famished at lunch time...
