QQ's new look :-)

We have been putting off trimming QQ's hair... she has been telling us to trim only after her birthday (July 2011), then after her kindy concert (Oct 2011), after Christmas (Dec 2011), and lastly after CNY (Jan 2012).

So recently we brought her to Snips at Cheras Leisure Mall.

Just for comparison, this is a recent photo that we snapped during CNY, when her hair was still very long. The before hair, reaching almost her waist when let down. Getting ready... Hair snipped... 9 inches off!
The Jie Jie who cut her hair asked me for confirmation several times before snipping. She's more ngm seh tak compared to us :-).

Although QQ felt bored sitting still for the haircut, I think QQ enjoyed the experience. She was making monkey faces at the mirror, kept going near the mirror to check out her new look, and was picking her nose too. Look at how she sat while getting her hair cut... tsk tsk tsk

After the haircut, QQ looks like a totally different person...

Hahaha!

The hair is correct, not the specs la! She was just fooling around with the frames in the shop when I went to collect my new pair of specs.

Here's a more accurate snapshot of her :-). Hubs and I think that she looks very much more cheeky with short hair :-D. Less girly now but chubbier. What do you think? :-)

Either style, she is just as cute and I see she has grown so tall now :) I love for my girls to have long, long flowing hair but that's not practical at all I feel. Too much time is needed to manage the hair well.

She looks a lot like HQ, cute and sweet.

Her hair is so long and she allowed for a hair cut ? My girl's doesn't want to cut her hair. When comes primary school, I think she will have no choice then.

U know what?! My first impression, "Wah QQ so tall d~!" She really grows a lot! :) I like both looks. The shorter hair suits her character best I think. :)

Health Freak Mommy: Like you, I love my girl to have long long hair too. Also like you, I think it's not practical especially when she hates sitting still to have er hair tied and she sweats a lot. So the hair gotto go...

mNhL: Like XJ, QQ too didn't want to have her hair cut. After cutting she kept saying she missed her long hair... haha

Broccoli Ginger: Yes, she has grown a lot taller :-). It's funny how we FEEL that she's a lot cheekier now, just because of her shorter hair :-)

Can donate ka? Never heard of people collecting hair... what do they use it for?

LittleLamb: QQ can't sit still long enough to have her hair tied nicely. Also she sweats a lot, so even if we wash her hair everyday, her hair is damp with sweat by night. That's why lo...

Snip your hair because of stress? Too stressful to manage your hair? Or is it a way to release work stress?

Cynthia: Ya lo... :-)

BroccoliGinger: Oh wow, I think that's great. Fancy, taking something that you don't need anymore and making it into something useful for cancer patients. Will keep this in mind next time we go for a haircut. Thanks for sharing Jun! :-D

The 1st thing that came to my mind was... QQ let you cut her hair until this short? I actually prefer little girls with long hair but it's difficult to maintain, which is why I keep Chloe's hair short too :)
