haeun khon korean restaurant

There is this dining place that hubs brought me recently, which I really like. Prices were pretty reasonable, and food was really great. Right up to my palate :-)

I saw many Koreans dining there, so i thought food must be quite authentic in taste. The restaurant was full to the brim too eventhough it was a weekday. There's also a few Japanese items on the menu.

Here's what we ordered during our first trip there... Korean barbecued chicken set and Japanese chicken teriyaki set.

The bill only came up to RM30+ including drinks. So each set is priced at RM14.90.

The next visit we went was with our kids on a weekend. We ordered the teriyaki set again, 2 sets of fried rice (Japanese and Korean), and one kimchi soup set.

We have seen the fried rice on almost every table, and it sure proved to be very tasty. RM7.90 for the huge set.

I didn't take picture of the teriyaki set this time as it was already taken during our previous trip. As for the kimchi soup set, it was simply delish with a right level of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness. I simply love it so much!

As expected we didn't get to finish the food. Will only order 3 sets next time when we go as a family :-)

Haeun Khon Restaurant is located at the top floor of Amcorp Mall, PJ. It's a few shops away from Book eXcess.

QQ turns 5! :-)

My precious daughter QQ turns five yesterday!

My hope for you, sweetheart, is for you to grow up healthy and strong, happy and blessed :-)

What you're doing now at five:
:: you are a very happy and easy-going child
:: you are now 18.6kg and 115cm in height
:: you love pink colour, broccoli, hard boiled egg, plain white rice, butter, frilly dresses, and hot milo :-)
:: you love singing, dancing, reading and playing princess
:: you dote to your elder korkor, who's your hero and best friend
:: you are understanding and reasonable, like for example you had to miss your kindy trip to a chocolate factory due to high fever, cough and wheezing. The trip was on your birthday, and even though you really looked forward to it as your birthday treat, and were deeply upset, you took it well.
:: you read well on your own; silently now :-)
::
even though you love company, you enjoy playing on your own too
:: you have a funny habit of feeling the end of your sleeves in between your thumb and forefinger when falling asleep. Sometimes you love to brush your face against mama's sleeves too :-)
::
you have a fiery temper, emotional, a sweetheart, and fun to be with :-)

Happy Birthday, my sweet QQ. All of us love you very very much! :-D

adding greens to the home

I have this money plant pictured below for close to 5 years, and it was kept in my office all this while. Now it's residing in one corner of my kitchen, and from how it's adjusting, I think it's pretty happy with it's new home :-)

I saw this lovely blue and white shallow dish in a plant nursery one day, and I simply got to have it. I just love the colour combination! Just after 2 weeks of stucking some money plant cuttings in it, I see some new shoots :-). The other pot next to it is not porcelain actually, but a cookie tin :-P. Yes, I bought that pot of butter cookies just because I love the tin that comes with it (well, the cookies are quite yummy too) :-).

I am also more diligent in renewing the flowers at my praying altar on a weekly basis. Of the many types that I've tried, these chrysanthemums are my favourite :-)

After one week, although the leaves have dried up, the blooms are still full and fresh. I do not have the heart to throw them, so I cut the stems shorter, and left them in a smaller vase in the kitchen :-)
